Excellence Demands character
You will not find a construction firm that values their team members more than we here at EDC value ours. We have some of the most talented and dedicated individuals working here at EDC. We are the best, because we only employ the best. EDC is always seeking candidates for the following positions:
EDC Project Managers lead the project team by providing hands-on expertise. Based in our Richmond office, they travel on a regular basis to project sites. Project Managers are in charge of supervising all business aspects of a construction project, including Owner and Architect communication, submittals, procurement, budgeting and scheduling. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in construction, architecture, engineering or related field experience and five or more years of relevant experience.
EDC Superintendents are field-experienced and equipped with the latest technology including digital cameras, laptop computers and e-mail access that allows them to provide real-time information to the entire project team. Our Superintendents provide daily supervision of on-site safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality assurance. Qualifications include five or more years of industry experience.
EDC Project Engineers assist the Project Managers in the management of specific larger projects. Based in our Richmond office, they regularly travel to the project. They assist in the bid process; oversee document management to include managing As-Builts, submittal processing, RFI’s, change orders and closeouts. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture or engineering or related field experience.
The Project Coordinator facilitates communication and provides support between the field and management teams. These office-based team members work behind the scenes to assure contract compliance. Their assistance in both project setup and closeout is essential and their diligence allows the rest of the team to focus on their primary roles.
EDC Estimators work closely with the project management team to ensure that projects are priced competitively, include qualified subcontractors, and meet the clients' time and budget constraints. EDC Estimators' early involvement in project planning is critical to the orderly execution of the projects once underway.
