Southpark Mall is the regional mall for  the tri-cities area of Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Hopewell and the surrounding counties to the North Carolina border.  In 2008, EDC add-ed an additional 68,000 SF Regal Cinemas Stadium 16 to the mall to replace the existing 6 screen theater in the mall, which was converted into an extended food court.  In 2013, EDC returned to Southpark Mall to Convert a vacant Dillard’s box into a new 56,000 SF Dick’s Sporting goods and residual retail space for future tenants.  Both the Regal theater and Dick’s Sporting Goods provide new exterior entrances from the existing parking field as well as interior mall entrances and storefronts which were intergrated seemlessly with the existing mall concourse and interior finishes.
